Accents and Pronunciation Attitudes of Italian University Students of Languages

In recent years, endorsed by the updated (2018) version of Common European Framework, intelligibility has replaced native-like pronunciation as a primary objective in foreign language teaching. But accent and continue to be central issues for university students languages. This volume presents results an investigation into attitudes some 370 first-year at Ca’ Foscari University Venice, first such study Italy, involving 13 languages, principal ones being English, Spanish, French, German Russian.
